Soil degradation is the physical, chemical and biological decline in soil quality, ie. the loss of fertility or breakdown of soil particles due to a deficiency in organic matter - deterioration of the natural make-up, structural changes, can be caused by erosion or changed by chemicals, pollutants or natural disaster, eg. flooding. One of the main causes of soil degradation is the irresponsible and protracted use by man of chemicals, weed killers, fungicides, and insecticides.

Plant growth is at risk if the humus level falls below 1% when valuable micro-organisms can no longer survive.

With the application of J-All, the dead-state condition can be reversed and the damaged soil can become productive again.
